My name is Jamie Knight - DJ Knight. I have been DJing in Lafayette, LA and the surrounding areas for over 10 years. I am experienced in any and all types of parties and special events including Weddings, Parties, Dances, ETC. My main goal in my business is to have a great time and guests usually join right in.
I have been in business as a Disk Jockey primarily from the referrals of past customers, event guests, and fellow wedding vendors. Word of mouth is a key element to the success of my business. I take pride in what I do and how I do it. Being a DJ is something that I am passionate about and that passion is reflected in my performances. I am always professionally dressed, appropriate, on-time, and prepared for your event. My equipment is professional looking, well cared for, and will not take any ambiance away from your event.
I let the music do the talking, rather than spending all night talking on the microphone. I do announce the appropriate things, special songs, but I try to let the music and the bride and groom have the center of attention. A lot of effort is spent trying to play songs that will get people dancing and involved in the event.
I take extra time before each event to customize song selections with your input. I definitely take requests and suggestions that will help make your event a success. For all wedding packages I take all song requests and special dance songs and put them on a CD that is given to you as a keepsake.
